The term “perceptron” can refer to:
- Perceptron (neuron), a subclass of neuron a with a Heaviside step activation function
- Single-layer perceptron, a collection of single-neuron perceptrons
- Multi-layer perceptrons, which in common parlance refers to a fully-connected feedforward neural network whose hidden layers have any nonlinear activation function
- Presumably, this was originally limited to those with classical perceptron neurons
